Do you work in English or with clients outside Italy?
Fully remote, in English and Italian.
Quick answer: Yes. Keryx Design works fully remotely, in English and Italian, with clients in Italy and abroad. Briefs and revisions happen over video calls, files are delivered digitally, and for printing we work with the print shop you prefer, or help you choose one near you. How remote work runs without dropping pieces
The process is the same as an in-person project, with the tools adapted:
- Brief over video call, with the usual questions: who is your customer, what does the piece have to do, what have you already tried. What to prepare beforehand: how to brief a designer.
- Material shared digitally: copy, photos, logo and documents travel in shared folders, with a single collection point instead of twenty emails.
- Revisions on annotated PDFs or on calls, with dates set at the start: you see the draft, comment directly on the page, and each point gets closed out.
- Complete file delivery, always: print-ready files, vector files and open source files. At a distance they matter even more, and we cover them in what files should I receive.
Distance takes away the coffee; the rest of the project travels better in writing anyway: decisions on record, tidy versions, no "we said it on a call" to reconstruct.
Printing when the print shop is near you
It's the most common objection to remote work, and it has a precise technical answer. Our work ends in a print-ready PDF with bleeds, crop marks and written specifications: format, recommended paper stock, finishes. With that file, any competent print shop prints it correctly.
In practice it works like this: if you already have a print shop you trust, we talk with them directly about the technical specs; if you don't, we help you choose one near you and make sense of the printing quotes. You pay the print shop directly, with no markups passing through us.
Sales materials that have to sell in English too
We work in English on brochures, landing pages, sales materials and books, both for international clients and for Italian companies selling abroad. The important distinction: a sales piece in English must be designed in the language of the end customer, with copy written for that market. A bilingual version of a piece gets planned from the brief onward, so structure and layout are built to carry both languages.
The doubts of first-time remote clients
"We never meet in person?" The process is designed for remote work, from the first brief to delivery: no step requires being physically present.
"What about the time zone?" Calls are scheduled in windows that work for both sides. Most of the work travels asynchronously anyway: written documents and annotated drafts don't keep office hours.
"Is the first step different for clients abroad?" No, it's identical: you start by describing the project, as covered in how to start with Keryx Design.
