How much does it cost to have a magalog designed?

Quick answer: Magalog layout, if you bring the copy already written, starts at €2,490 (VAT excluded, an indicative price that rises with page count and complexity). If you also want the sales copy written by us, the full version starts at €3,490. Printing is always separate, at the print shop. Turnaround: 10-14 business days. The details are on the magalog service page.

Two prices, one simple fork

The Keryx magalog has two starting points, and the difference comes down to one thing: who writes the sales copy.

If you already have the copy, written by you or your copywriter, all you need is someone who lays it out well. That starts at €2,490. If the copy doesn't exist yet, or you want it written by the same people who design the page, the full version starts at €3,490. The €1,000 difference is the direct response copy.

This page answers the first question: how much the layout of a magalog costs. So the number you care about is €2,490. If you first want to understand what this format really is, there's the guide on what a magalog is.

What the €2,490 layout covers

Laying out a magalog is a precise job: making sure your copy gets read from the first page to the last. The text is already good. It needs someone to build the reading path around it.

In practice, the €2,490 includes:

  • the design of the reading path: where the eye lands first and where it finds the CTA
  • the visual weight of headlines, subheads, sidebars, and boxes
  • the complete magazine-style layout, page after page
  • the placement of testimonials and proof at the points where the reader starts to doubt
  • the print-ready file: correct, finished, ready to send to the print shop

The copy stays yours. We don't touch a word without your approval.

What raises the price

€2,490 is the starting point. From there, the price moves on a few concrete items:

  • Page count. An 8-page magalog and a 48-page one are different jobs. Pricing works in ranges (8-24, 24-48, beyond) rather than per page.
  • How much is inside. What drives the work is what the pages contain: sections, sidebars, callouts, testimonials, repeated CTAs, trackable QR codes. More pieces to design means a higher price.
  • The shape your material arrives in. Clean copy, ready images, and a clear structure shorten the job. Text that needs reorganizing and photos that need fixing stretch it.

None of these items are about how pretty it looks. They are design hours, and they show in the piece the reader holds.

Printing is a separate bill

The €2,490 covers design and layout. Printing doesn't come with it.

Paper, format, print run, and shipping are paid at the print shop, and they depend on how many people you want to reach. In a direct mail campaign this line often weighs more than the design. It's worth deciding early, because it's the part where a mistake costs the most. We'll tell you how to set it up, but the print quote comes from the printer.

When the layout pays for itself

If a single extra inquiry is worth more than €2,490 to you, the layout has already paid for itself.

That's the math of the magalog. You've already paid for the copy, and you'll pay for printing and postage. Against those numbers, the difference between a layout that holds the reader to the last page and one that loses them on page three is hardly a cost to cut. It's the line item that decides whether the rest performs.

A poorly produced magalog costs you more than lost conversion. It burns credibility with a list you spent years building.

REAL CASE
What an engineered reading path delivers. An example from direct response print: for a B2B client we laid out a trifold brochure built around the copy. The result: 37 qualified inquiries from roughly 300 copies handed out. That piece is a brochure rather than a magalog (they are different products), but the principle is identical: the eye guided from headline to CTA without friction. Across the dozens of pages of a magalog, that principle has even more room to work.

The questions you're asking yourself right now

Do I get the source files? Yes. When the work is done, you receive the print-ready package. The project is yours and you take it home.

How long does it take? 10-14 business days. The bottleneck is usually copy approval rather than layout.

What if I don't have the copy? Then you need the full version at €3,490: we write the sales copy and design the layout together. If you have a copywriter on your side, the €2,490 tier was built exactly for you. How it works when the copy comes from outside is explained here: who designs a sales letter written by a copywriter.

How to know whether the magalog is the right move

Before going to press, it's worth finding out whether your material is earning what it could. That's what the Feasibility Analysis is for, at $147, credited toward your deposit if the project moves forward: we look at your copy and your list, and we tell you whether the magalog makes sense or a smaller format will earn more.

If you'd rather just talk it through, write to us: bring what you have, and we'll reason about returns before opening InDesign.
