How much does a professional logo cost?
From €700, what to check before signing.
Quick answer: A professional logo with Keryx Design starts from €700. The figure covers the study of where the logo will live (signage, van, label, website), the proposals, the revisions and the delivery of vector files with the source files. A good logo is judged on the work it does: readable from a distance, recognizable when small, printable even in a single color. Real examples: portfolio.
Behind the figure there is a study, before the drawing
A logo works for years in very different places: the sign seen from thirty meters, the label two centimeters wide, the single-color stamp, the email signature, the side of the van. The quote covers the work needed to make it function in all those places: the study of the applications, several proposals to choose from, the revisions and the vector files with the source files. The drawing you see at the end is only the last step. It is also why the price starts from €700 and grows with complexity: the more places the logo has to live in, the more checks before delivery.
The typical mistake: buying a logo the way you buy a drawing
On the marketplaces you can find a logo for a few dozen euros. The problem shows up later, and to see it you only need to compare what you receive:
| What you receive | Marketplace logo | Professional logo |
|---|---|---|
| Study of the applications | Absent | Included, before the drawing |
| Files | Often only low-resolution images | PDF, vector and open source files |
| Revisions | Few, or at extra cost | Included, in a number set in the quote |
| Uniqueness | Elements recycled across clients | Designed for your case |
| Future edits | You start over from scratch | Anyone can work on the source files |
A brand that becomes illegible when small, or that looks like ten other companies, sooner or later has to be redone. The real cost of a cheap logo is the second logo.
How the work unfolds, step by step
- Brief. We ask you four things: who you sell to and what the material has to do, what you have already tried, what you have in hand, budget and deadline. The full path: how we work
- Study of the applications. We list where the logo will live and derive the constraints from it: minimum sizes, colors, surfaces
- Proposals. You receive several directions, each one reasoned against the constraints from step 2
- Revisions. The chosen direction gets refined, within the number of rounds written in the quote
- Delivery. Print-ready PDFs, vector files and open source files. They are yours: you pay for them, you receive them
On step 5 a word of warning: many studios hold back the source files to tie you to future edits. Ask about it before you sign. The list of what to demand: which files you should receive.
The questions that come up right after
Does a restyling cost as much as a new logo? Usually less, because part of the work (the recognition built up over the years) already exists and needs to be preserved. But it depends on how much of the old brand is recoverable: it gets assessed case by case, on the real material.
How long does it take? For a logo the delivery date is set in the quote, in writing. The variable that stretches the timeline is almost always material waiting on answers: incomplete briefs, decisions put off.
And if none of the proposals convince me? The risk is cut down upstream: the proposals come out of the constraints shared in the brief, so they arrive already inside the right perimeter, and the revision rounds serve to refine. Taste enters at the end, on a base that works either way.
Does the price include business cards and signage? It includes the files to produce them with anyone. The materials themselves are quoted separately: a business card, to give a reference point, starts from €170.
Are you weighing a new logo or a restyling? The Feasibility Analysis costs $147: we examine your case and tell you in writing what we would do, at what cost. If the project goes ahead, the $147 is deducted from the deposit.
